Kokemäen Lämpö has a 30 km district heating network supplied by four biofuel boilers. One of these boilers is located in the Finnamyl potato starch factory. The multifunctional facility built in 2014 produces district and low-grade heat, hot water, hot oil and steam. Some of the district heating produced by the multifunctional plant is directed to the district heating network of Kokemäen Lämpö, but most of the energy produced by the plant is used for Finnamyl's production processes.
The potato starch factory boiler was purchased second hand and some of the valves used by the plant are the original Vexve or Naval balancing and ball valves that are almost 30 years old.
