International customer service coordinator
"Vexve is my first job in Finland. Before coming here, I worked in Abu Dhabi and New York. I ended up at Vexve through a recruitment event organized in Tampere, where I started talking to the CEO at the time. I asked him in Finnish whether the company needs an employee who speaks Chinese. A couple of days later, I was invited for an interview.
A summer job yielded a fixed-term employment contract, and in summer 2018, I became a permanent employee. I work as a customer service coordinator in the Asia team. In addition to the normal order and delivery process, my job includes sales promotion and representing Vexve at exhibitions and conferences in China.
I received my MBA from the New York Institute of Technology. I completed the basic studies at a university of applied sciences in my home country, China. I do not have a technical education background, but I want to develop in my profession and gain a better understanding of the district energy sector. Indeed, Vexve has provided me with an opportunity for this, and I currently study construction engineering at the Tampere University of Applied Sciences, specializing in HVAC engineering. The degree program lasts for four years, and I go to school once a week.
In the future, I would like to utilize my Chinese language skills in my work even more and to try out different tasks through job rotation."
